Hole now filled - response from council:
I am responding to your email below concerning the hole in the road surface at Kenwood Road/Gaskell Road junction.
The location was inspected immediately we were notified and it was noted that there was a cavity in the road rather than a pothole. We instructed our contractor to excavate the road surface, backfill the hole and lay a new surface at road level.
I confirm that the works have been completed.
Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.
Road surface excavated; hole backfilled; new surface laid. Neil, that seems like good sound response from the Council.

Hi Alan - Yes. I did it pretty quick!
